A few years ago, I dislocated my ankle - and it's a constant reminder of what happened to me, and how I live my life going forward.

History not only informs us of the past, it instructs on how we move forward as a society. Our country is a beautiful tapestry of backgrounds, all of which are important to the Marietta community.

It’s vital that our students understand the people that came before us, and the events that shaped both America (Natives, colonizers, slavery, immigrants) and abroad (the Holocaust, the World Wars, the Industrial Revolution, and more). All of these subjects are essential in understanding how past actions and innovations shape the present and future.
